Master in Special Education The Master in Special Education provides advanced training in special support for children, adolescents and adults with disabilities (intellectual, motor, sensory or social). The programme revolves around two issues: inclusion/exclusion processes and learning processes/cognitive intervention. Integration and rehabilitation can only succeed if persons with disabilities are encouraged to learn skills that enable them to move toward autonomy and self-determination. The programme therefore explores educational intervention and familiarizes students with specialised services and establishments. Particular focus is placed on the relationship between theory and practice regarding learning disabilities, intellectual impairments and social maladaptation. As of September 2017, the programme will no longer be offered in this format. A new programme will take effect and address psycho-educational approaches and educational settings involving handicaps. Details will be posted on the website during the 2016-2017 academic year.
