The degree program Educational Science in Music (Master of Arts) was introduced in fall 2013. It aims to equip students with the expertise they need to work as professional music educators in various social contexts outside general education schools. It also aims to foster a new generation of music education researchers, and as such it teaches students how to carry out specialized and interdisciplinary research. The curriculum focuses on teaching techniques in music education and also includes musicology as a reference subject as well as psychology (of musical learning and musical development), sociology, and ethnology (which deal with the social significance of music and multiculturalism). The degree program is accredited by ACQUIN from 2017 to 2023. -
