It must provide a profounder knowledge of both microeconomics and macroeconomics; 3. It must have a first class faculty; and 4. It must have a high employability factor on completion of the programme (in relation to a wide range of opportunities)." Miguel Queiro Pedroso de Lima, Senior Official Bank of Portugal "I find this program at the University of Porto very appealing: there are three compulsory courses and one optional course per semester. I can choose master courses from other programs not only from within the School of Economics and Management but also from the other 13 Schools in the university. During the second year of the master degree, the students can choose to write a thesis or if do an internship and write a report related with a topic of the internship. Since I would like to focus more on my professional path, the internship in my second year of the master in economics will fit my plans."
