While students are enrolled in the master’s program, they will be able to exit with a Graduate Certificate in Professional Economics once they have completed the four (40 units) specified courses. Applicants with an Honours degree in a related area or equivalent qualification at Level 8 or above will be given recognition of appropriate prior learning prior to enrolling in the MPE degree program. The alternate pathway is through the Graduate Certificate (40 units) which will be available for applicants who have: 3 year Bachelor’s Degree not in a related field; or 3 year Diploma in a related field such as economics, business, accounting, finance, human resource management, marketing, management; or 3 year Diploma not in a related field + 1 year appropriate business experience; or 2 year Diploma in a related field as above + 2 years appropriate business experience; or 2 year Diploma not in a related field + 3 years appropriate business experience; or At least 5 years appropriate business experience.
