Economic Studies

A masters refers to the completion of a graduate study program that prepares students to further their knowledge of a specific subject or advance their careers. The majority of masters are granted by state or public universities.

Economics is a branch of social science that deals with the distribution, consumption, and production of goods and services. Economics is a derivative of two Greek words which mean “house” and “law,” and thus the subject deals with customs of good management.

Officially known as the Italian Republic, the country is found in southern Europe. The official language is Italian and the cultural rich capital is Rome. Many of the world's oldest universities are located in Italy, in particular the University of Bologna (founded in 1088). There are three Superior Graduate Schools with "university status", three institutes with the status of Doctoral Colleges, which function at graduate and post-graduate level.

On the flipside, European institutions often fail to factor in technical and country-specific instruments, causing them to inadequately assess the impact of their regulatory framework on the private sector. MEEG aims at training professionals who can see the complete picture and act as a vital link between national institutions, companies, and European institutions. After one year, MEEG students will earn an international master's degree (Master di II livello) in Economics. The master’s program is divided into two terms. The first term focuses on providing essential analytical and macroeconomic tools, as well as an overview of the historical development and legal evolution of the EU and EMU.
