Business and Economics

Master-level studies involve specialized study in a field of research or an area of professional practice. Earning a master’s degree demonstrates a higher level of mastery of the subject. Earning a master’s degree can take anywhere from a year to three or four years. Before you can graduate, you usually must write and defend a thesis, a long paper that is the culmination of your specialized research.

Business and economics are closely related. Students may enroll in a program that combines these disciplines to learn more about how they interact and how to use this connection to build a business and make it successful.

Hungary is a landlocked country in Central Europe. It is situated in the Carpathian Basin and is bordered by Slovakia to the north, Ukraine and Romania to the east, Serbia and Croatia to the south, Slovenia to the southwest and Austria to the west.

Best Masters in Business and Economics in Hungary 2017. The International Economy and Business (IEB) program is a two-year, English-language Master’s program which has been ranked at No.4 by Bestmasters.com. It aims to make students master the most important competences in economics and business studies. We are looking forward to receiving applications from students who are interested in international business and/or economic studies and who wish to gain both practical skills and theoretical knowledge once they have completed their studies. The program has an interdisciplinary structure: the courses cover fields from international business/economics to international politics. After the foundation courses in the first year, students specialize in the second year in International Economic Analysis or in Comparative European Economic and Business Studies or in International Development. The program lists students with different cultural backgrounds and, therefore, offers an international atmosphere. Attached to the programme we also offer Double Degree options (spending the first year in Budapest the second abroad and obtaining two degrees during only two years of study) of studying in Europe at the University of Groningen or in Australia studying at the University of Adelaide or the University of Perth. Students who have completed this programme have either ended up working in the business sector (IBM, KPMG, Microsoft, Ernst and Young, Morgan Stanley, Prezi etc.) or continued their studies on the PhD level (CEU, University of Melbourne, University of Minho etc.) or have been working for an international organisation (OECD, EU, UN etc.).
