Do you want to work for and with children and youth in need of special support? This interdisciplinary one-year master's program will provide you with a theoretical basis, knowledge, and tools for professional collaboration to support children and youth and their families. You will learn about interventions that enable children and youth to actively participate in everyday life.

While you’re a Bath Spa Teacher, you’ll explore models of teaching and the many ways in which children learn. Emphasis is placed on how parents and carers, families, schools and communities can impact children’s learning and well-being.

This teacher training program will enable you to teach across the curriculum in two consecutive primary school age ranges, with either French, German or Spanish as a specialist subject.

This program aims to develop all the skills, knowledge and understanding you’ll need to become a responsible and effective teacher in your chosen age phase.

Degree of Bachelor of Arts in Pre-School Education of at least 180 credits, including a degree project comprising 15 credits at G2E level. Upper secondary school level Swedish 3 or B, Swedish as a Second Language 3 or B, or equivalent. Upper secondary school level English 6 or B, or equivalent. Equivalence assessment may be made. Students are free to choose among certain alternative courses, often depending on their choice of specialisation.

Our MA Education with Early Childhood focuses on early childhood education from birth until eight years old and you'll graduate with a valuable postgraduate qualification. Advance your knowledge of young children’s learning and develop your early year's practice and professionalism. Explore areas of personal interest in early childhood education and care whilst also enhancing your research skills. There may also be opportunities to visit different early years settings.

The programme supports you in developing your knowledge and understanding of issues and practices through enquiry and research. The programme provides a range of module choices, but you are encouraged to bring your own ideas and focus on your own particular professional interests. This award is gained through taking an early childhood education focus for 50% of the study, including the Dissertation.

PROFESSIONAL OUTPUTS Nurseries; Kindergarten; Informal Educational Contexts of Child and Community Animation: Animation of Libraries, Playrooms, Leisure Activities, Hospitals, Companies that organize Playful and/or Didactic Activities; Administration of Crèches and Kindergartens. This second cycle of studies aims to provide the acquisition of professional skills indicated as fundamental in the specific professional performance profile of the Child Educator, in order to enable him/her to design and develop the curriculum through the planning, organization, and assessment of the environment educational, as well as activities and curricular projects, with a view to building meaningful learning; mobilization of knowledge and skills necessary for the development of an integrated curriculum.

MA Childhood Studies is a taught Masters programme which takes an informed and critical approach to the academic study of childhood studies. This programme would be of interest to undergraduates looking to progress to the postgraduate level and professionals interested in specialised or advanced study of childhood.
