As products become more intelligent and communicative, demands on them change. A product’s sense of value is now less that of the material and more of what it can do and what can be done with it.In the Industrial Design domain, students work with classic skills of sketching, marker drawing, 3D computer modelling and model making. However, students are also, to a greater extent, involved with concept development that, in more general terms, considers users in contexts of the future and the immaterial values that products bear with them.
