It is designed for young professionals who want to gain an expertise in the management and evaluation of public policy in the European context and at the heart of two major European capitals. During the two year programme, dual degree students develop an understanding of the European project and acquire the professional competencies needed to work in the European affairs. During their first year in Paris, students are enrolled at Sciences Po, in either the Master in Public Policy or the Master in European Affairs. During their second year, students are enrolled at the LSE. Upon successful completion of the two years, students receive two degrees: a Master's from Sciences Po and a Master's from LSE. Dual master's degree in European Affairs Programme The Master in European Affairs offers a broad knowledge of the legal, economic and political foundations of the European Union, as well as of the history and sociology of the European integration project. During the first year at Sciences Po, students are integrated within the Master European Affairs (MAE). They follow courses in English and French. Students of the dual degree attend a joint seminar providing an introduction to research on European affairs. Its aim is to familiarize students with the scientific literature on politics and governance in the European Union. Every week students meet scholars of the two universities, Sciences Po and LSE, to discuss about European politics and governance through different perspectives: from political theory to sociology and political science and from economy to law. The participation to these seminars permits to students of the dual degree to prepare themselves for the second year at LSE. GOALS The Master in International Cooperation and Public Policy Management, Programs and Projects Development It aims to meet the demand for technical experts in international cooperation caused by the existence of a growing number of actors who bring resources in this area. Euroculture serves to qualify graduates to take up professions that require sound knowledge of European culture, current transnational developments in European society and politics in a global context, and the European integration process. Some of the possible professions are work with European institutions and organisations, with institutions of teaching, research and further education, the media and journalism, librarianship, foundations and associations, culture management, museums and collections, tourism, foreigner and migrant counselling, public relations, and human resource management (especially in international companies). Subject-specific admission procedure University places are allocated to applicants who are particularly suitable. Particular suitability is measured by the following criteria: fulfilment of the formal admission requirements, demonstration of the ability to critically reflect on the contents and goals of the Euroculture programme from a subject-related and from an interdisciplinary point of view (letter of motivation), quality of academic achievements, and proof of language skills in an interview.
