This program offers a diverse array of courses intended to prepare the student to function in a variety of mental health agencies. It is not intended for individuals whose career focus is educational counseling in school settings, nor does this program lead to licensure. Twelve courses of three (3) semester hours each are required for the degree. This includes courses in nine (9) required areas, three (3) elective courses from either education or psychology. A requirement will be waived only if the candidate has completed equivalent course work in that area.
