The program prepares graduates for the different occupations related to the real estate, government, and construction management sectors. In 2015, the program was awarded a RICS accreditation, which means that the program answers to the highest standards in real estate education.
Real Estate and Construction Management at KTHThe curriculum of the program covers four terms of full-time study. Within the program, it is possible to specialize in Construction Project Management, Real Estate Development and Land Law or Building and Real Estate Economics. A few of the conditionally elective courses in Real Estate Development and Land Law specialization are taught in Swedish.
The first term consists mainly of foundation courses for all students, after which it is possible to specialize according to educational background and interest. In the final term, students will prepare a final degree project. The degree project is a detailed study of a subject area within the scope of the program. This provides the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired from the courses in a scientific manner to a problem chosen within the research profile of the track. The degree project may be carried out at a company in Sweden or abroad, or students may work independently in an area of their own choice, as long as it falls within the research profile of the track. Once completed, the degree project will be presented in a seminar.
