The Department has opened applications to its course based Master of Engineering (MEng) degree program. The Master of Engineering is a course-based program designed for engineers wishing to upgrade their training. During this 12-16 month program, students take a prescribed set of courses.

Course Requirements

The MEng is not a research degree and is intended primarily for candidates who have work experience in addition to a bachelor's degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering. The degree requires 30 credits of advanced coursework, which are divided as follows:

12 credits of CHBE 500 level fundamental courses. Additional 6 credits of CHBE 500 level courses OR MEng report. The remaining 12 credits may be chosen from CHBE or non-CHBE (Engineering & Science) courses. For the non-CHBE courses, 6 credits at the 300 or 400 level will be permitted. CHBE courses include IWME, GBPR and CEEN courses. ... [-]
