Bern is famous for the University of Bern and University of Applied Sciences. You can find almost anything there, including some institutes that are known worldwide for their contribution to organisations such as NASA, ESA, hospitals etc.

Biomedical engineering is a relatively new field of study, but has already made a large positive impact in healthcare. During their academic careers, students in this area of study learn aspects of computer science, chemistry, and materials science in addition to biology and multiple engineering specialties.

Switzerland (German: Schweiz, French: Suisse, Italian: Svizzera, Romansch: Svizra. Switzerland has some of the world renown universites like ETH in Zurich, EPFL in Lausanne, IHEID in Geneva, University of Lausanne or the University of St. Gallen. Keep in mind, it's much better to speak the local language, so if you can't speak either French, German or Italian, better go for a language course first.
