NUS-ANU Joint Masters Degree in Southeast Asian Studies
The National University of Singapore (NUS) and The Australian National University (ANU) are well known globally for teaching and research in Asia-Pacific studies. To promote further understanding of Asia and the Pacific, in particular Southeast Asia, the NUS and ANU have entered into an agreement to offer a Joint Masters Degree in Southeast Asian Studies with effect from the first semester of academic year 2004/2005. The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at NUS through its Department of Southeast Asian Studies, and the College of Asia and the Pacific at ANU will administer the joint degree.
Students enrolled in this programme will spend their first semester at NUS (August to November) and are expected to read 4 modules (16 MCs) and prepare a project proposal. Students will spend their second semester at ANU (February to June) during which they will complete the ANU graduate core course and one elective graduate course in Southeast Asian Studies (excluding language courses).
