Our programmes in Film Directing take a project-led, practice-based collaborative approach. Outline Our programmes in Film Directing take a project-led, practice-based collaborative approach. You choose to make a documentary or fiction and collaborate on an experimental film. While allowing you to explore your creativity, the course encourages ways of working that foster the important exchange of ideas. Many of our students already work in the industry and we aim to encourage a fresh approach to emerging technologies. You will join an international body of postgraduate students coming from different cultural traditions to work in a broad range of audio-visual media within an integrated framework which questions the form and enables you to find the right language for your kind of storytelling. What you will study The MA programme Through workshops and tutorials in directing, writing, shooting documentary or developing scripts students direct one short documentary or fiction at the end of their year (as well as a short experimental film in the first semester).
