Through The Danish Institute for Electronic Music (DIEM), the Academy is the only place in Denmark that offers several study programmes within electronic music. Study programmes function in concert with other music academy study programmes and the demands on students in e-music are high. The genre of electronic music includes both classical and rhythmic traditions allowing an endless space for creativity when composing music. At the same time, it builds a bridge between two latter genres at the Academy. The MMus (Electronic Composition) degree course at The Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus, is a course during which students acquire specialist knowledge, skills, and qualifications to become electronic composers at the highest level and driving forces in music business.
