Masters in European studies in Alpes-Maritimes in France. The Master in Global Energy Transition and Governance is targeted at students who have completed their undergraduate studies. Its objective is to give a deep understanding of the complexity of the current energy transformations in Europe and worldwide. The programme takes place in Berlin and Nice. The programme offers a unique, multidisciplinary approach which distinguishes it from other Master’s courses in the field of energy studies. It analyses the links between the different levels of energy governance, from an international to a local level, offering problem-focused learning at the crossroads of theory and practice. The one-year programme stretches over three terms and takes place in two study locations: Nice and Berlin. Students who successfully complete the programme acquire 60 ECTS credits. The programme is structured into three terms: The first term (October-December) in Nice encompasses classes on the basics of the four energy modules: International energy governance, Economic energy governance, the EU energy governance and Energy and territories. Each module is complemented by seminars dealing with current energy issues. An academic or professional expert is invited for each event. For their second term (January-March) students move on to Berlin where teaching in the four modules continues in the form of workshops. Each module organises a half-day workshop with an expert. Learning and living the Mediterranean The "Mediterranean studies" branch of the Master in Advanced European and International Studies (MAEIS) is targeted at students who have completed their undergraduate studies. Its objective is to give students an overarching,encompassing vision of the political, social, economic, and cultural challenges of today’s world. The Master’s programme follows an original approach which distinguishes it from other Master’s courses in Euro-­Mediterranean Studies and International Relations: The MAEIS is an international, interdisciplinary and itinerant programme which aims to educate the next generation of Euro­Mediterranean decision­makers. Following the slogan “Learning and living the Mediterranean”, the participants rotate each trimester,moving their place of studies from Nice to Tunis and then to Rome.
