A master's degree is a postgraduate academic degree. One must already have an undergraduate degree to apply for a master's program. Most master's degree program would require students to complete a master's thesis or research paper.

A master in Archaeology permits to study the history of humanity as a meaningful whole. It helps understand ancient civilizations from the remains of ruins and artifacts, as well as other material evidence that can picture how the ancient people's everyday life.

The Czech Republic, is a landlocked country in Central Europe. The country is bordered by Germany to the west, Austria to the south, Slovakia to the east and Poland to the north. Its capital and largest city, with 1.3 million inhabitants, is Prague.

This city has produced prominent people; the founder of genetics Gregory Mendel has a university named after him. However, the city has that challenge still, and it’s striving through its higher education institutions, to produce other Mendels who can have an impact to the community.

Brno-based Centre of Prehistoric Archaeology in the Near East (PANE) is a young institution. PANE was founded in 2009 by archaeologist Inna Mateiciucová and cultural anthropologist Maximilian Wilding; building on the archaeological fieldwork of Masaryk University in Syria at the Neolithic site Tell Arbid Abyad, initiated already in 2005 and suspended in 2011. PANE is currently conducting research in Oman and planning a project in Jordan.

The study program is concentrated on applied research and can be characterized by:
