A Masters degree is an academic degree awarded to individuals who successfully denote a higher level of expertise. There are two main types of Masters - taught and research.

In contrast with the field of theoretical linguistics, applied linguistics aims to address real-world language usage problems. It is concerned with applying the critical study of language to assess literacies and situations that pertain to discourse analysis.

Oceania consists of islands of the southern, western, and central Pacific Ocean, including Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia. The term is sometimes extended to encompass Australia, New Zealand, and the Malay Archipelago.
