A program in adventure tourism may be comprised of team-based coursework, collaborative environments, and small group sessions. Exposure to different learning styles can give students a wide range of skills helpful to pursuing a career in tourism all over the world.

There are several institutions for higher learning located throughout Puerto Rico, with The University of Puerto Rico being the oldest and largest. As a territory of the United States, citizens may have access to additional opportunities for education.

A masters is earned after students complete an undergraduate degree program. To obtain a masters, you usually need to complete 12 to 18 college courses that often involve completing comprehensive tests and/or a thesis.

Part time learning allows one to obtain part-time degrees even if one cannot attend school on a full-time basis. One can learn at his or own pace, gradually accumulating credits which count towards final qualification.
