The Department of Public Policy (DPP) at Central European University (CEU) offers a two-year Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree program that develops graduates with the knowledge base and applied skills to critically engage with policy processes and debates, the methods and training to promote and advocate for evidenced-based policy, and a practitioner's perspective that enables them to move from "contemplation to application." In the distance learning Master of Science (MSc) in Public Administration, specialists are trained to take on demanding managerial tasks in public administration. In order to do justice to these tasks, comprehensive knowledge in the field of public administration is required. In addition to the basics of business and economics, the part-time master's program teaches subject-specific content from change management, sustainability management and human resource management, which play an important role in working in public administration. The course enables graduates to evaluate administrative processes and, if necessary, to redesign or adapt them. In doing so, they keep an eye on quality and innovation-oriented approaches as well as the legal and political framework.
