Designed to build upon previous non-accounting undergraduate studies and work experience, our program complements existing qualifications with a professional accounting qualification designed to meet the academic requirements of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and CPA Australia. Our program is available for study by distance education, or international students may choose on campus study at CSU Study Centres in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney. Credit and pathways Students may receive up to 50% credit (six 8 point subjects) into the Master of Professional Accounting for related prior postgraduate studies. Credit will not be awarded for work experience. Students with a completed Australian Bachelor level qualification or equivalent in business may be eligible for up to three subjects' credit into the Master of Professional Accounting. Applicants who have completed either the Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting or the Graduate Diploma of Accounting will be awarded credit for those subjects upon admission to the Master of Professional Accounting. Admission information Master of Professional Accounting (12 subjects) For entry to the Master of Professional Accounting (12 subjects) applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution (or equivalent). The undergraduate degree must be in a field other than Accounting. Applicants without a tertiary qualification may be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting or Graduate Diploma of Accounting on the basis of professional attainment and/or work experience. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate of Professional Accounting/Graduate Diploma of Accounting, students will then be eligible for admission to the Master of Professional Accounting (16 subjects) and receive credit for applicable subjects.
