The main training objectives of the Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering are:Provide adequate training with a European profile on the theoretical-technical bases and the technologies of the telecommunications sector. Facilitate the student's acquisition of the skills established in Royal Decree 1393/2007 for the exercise of the profession. Facilitate access to the labor market in positions of responsibility. Train the student for the knowledge and understanding of the necessary legislation in the exercise of their profession. Promote continuous and autonomous learning by acquiring the necessary skills. Train graduates of the master to address any technical and scientific problem in the field of telecommunications, so that they can successfully develop their professional skills.CompetenciesGraduates of this master's degree may practice the profession of Telecommunications Engineer by virtue of the provisions of Royal Decree 1393/2007 of October 29 and Ministerial Order CIN / 355/2009, which define a regulatory framework where the requirements are established. for the verification of official university degrees that enable the exercise of the profession of Telecommunications Engineer. The Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering aims to provide adequate training with a European profile on the theoretical-technical bases and the technologies of the telecommunications sector, framed in a capacity for continuous improvement and transmission of knowledge. Ministerial Order CIN / 355/2009, of February 9 (BOE No. 44 of February 20, 2009) establishes as objectives for this degree that students acquire, among others, the following skills:Ability to project, calculate and design products, processes and facilities in all areas of telecommunications engineering. Ability to manage works and installations of telecommunication systems, complying with current regulations, ensuring quality of service. Ability to lead, plan and supervise multidisciplinary teams. Ability for mathematical modeling, calculation and simulation in technology and engineering company centers, particularly in research, development and innovation tasks in all areas related to Telecommunication Engineering and related multidisciplinary fields. Capacity for the preparation, strategic planning, direction, coordination and technical and economic management of projects in all areas of Telecommunications Engineering following quality and environmental criteria. Ability to start up, direct and manage electronic and telecommunications equipment manufacturing processes, with a guarantee of safety for people and goods, the final quality of the products and their approval.Professional outingsThe Master in Telecommunications Engineering shows great employability in the national and international labor market. Thus, his scope of work will include telecommunication services companies, telecommunication consultancies, software companies, technology and telecommunications companies, security companies and public and private entities of any kind (financial, industrial, governmental, etc.) and, in general, any company or organization that requires the use of ICT. ICT-related teaching.Admission profileTwo access routes to the University Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering are established:Students with proof of having one of the following qualifications will have direct access to the Master in Telecommunications Engineering:Degrees that enable the professional practice of Telecommunications Technical Engineer, regulated by ministerial order CIN / 352/2009. Another degree that, proving having completed the basic training module and the common module of the branch, still not covering a complete block of the specific technology module and 48 credits of those offered in the set of blocks of said module of a Bachelor's degree, qualifies for the exercise of Technical Telecommunications Engineer, in accordance with Ministerial Order CIN / 352/2009. Telecommunication engineering Titles equivalent to the previous ones issued by higher institutions of the EHEA. Degrees obtained in educational systems outside the EHEA without the need for homologation of their degrees, after verification by the University that they accredit a level of training equivalent to the corresponding official Spanish university degrees and that they empower in the country issuing the degree for access to postgraduate teachings. Those who hold other degrees in the Engineering and Architecture branches (graduates, technical engineers or engineers) and Experimental Sciences will be able to access this master's degree through complementary training. In said complementary training, it will be required, at least, that the student accredit the competences corresponding to the common telecommunications module, and 48 credits of the set of blocks of specific technology of the undergraduate degrees that qualify for the exercise of the profession of Technical Engineer of Telecommunications, in accordance with Ministerial Order CIN / 352/2009. In order to obtain the necessary complementary training, all the Basic, Compulsory and Optional Training subjects of the Degree in Engineering in Telecommunication Technologies are offered at the Polytechnic School of Cuenca.In any case, the subjects taken in any other undergraduate degree that lead to the profession of Telecommunications Technical Engineer will always be recognized as complementary training. The Academic Committee of the master's degree will establish the training complements that the student must take and that will be set according to the profile and history of the candidate.
