goalsThe main objectives that the Master's Degree in Special Education seeks to achieve are specified as follows:
• Acquire advanced, specialized and interdisciplinary training for professional and research development in the different areas of Special Education.
• Train for the promotion and improvement of the educational response in coordination with the different professionals, seeking to improve the quality of life of the person with functional diversity.
• Know the evaluation and intervention procedures within the different functional diversities: physical, sensory and intellectual.
• Effectively address the special educational needs of people with functional diversity in the school, family and social spheres.
• Acquire the ability to transfer knowledge from the scientific field to educational contexts in order to convert them into knowledge applicable to Special Education.RecipientsStudents who meet any of the requirements listed below will be able to access this University Master :
• Graduates in Pedagogy, Teaching in Early Childhood Education, Teaching in Primary Education, Social Education, Psychology, Speech Therapy.
• Graduates in Pedagogy, Psychology and Psychopedagogy.
• Diplomas in Social Education, Speech Therapy and in any of the Teaching specialties.
In the event that the demand is greater than the supply of places, the candidates will be assessed considering, in addition to the academic record (65%) and professional experience in the field of knowledge of the Master (20%), the adequacy of the profile of the candidate to the objectives and contents of the program 15%).
If there are available places, those university graduates who prove training and professional experience linked to special educational needs may access, after evaluating their academic and professional record.

• As a professional outlet, it enables the design and implementation of evaluation and intervention programs for people with functional diversity (intellectual, sensory and physical) of all ages, from early care to the transition to adult life in different professional fields.Admission requirements for mastersNon-enabling university mastersBe in possession of any of the following titles:Spanish official university degree .
Title issued by an institution of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and empowering in the country of issue for access to Master's education.
Title of educational systems outside the EHEA that empowers in the country of issuance for access to Master's education, homologated or declared equivalent to the degree and academic level of Degree or Degree by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training . in case of lacking the mentioned homologation or equivalency, it will be necessary to have authorization or permission of access granted by this University.
Or be carrying out studies leading to the obtaining of any of the previous degrees during the course in which the pre-registration is carried out and be in a position to prove the obtaining of the same before the date established in the corresponding call (see href = "https: //www.ucm.es/requisitos-de-admision-a-masteres ).
In addition, students from foreign educational systems, whose mother tongue is different from Spanish, must prove level B2 of the Spanish language (or higher) .
