Consumption is a human activity that occupies a central place in our society, which some characterize as a "consumer society". The evolution of economic growth and the emergence of new values in societies as progress is made in social development cause structural changes in the way citizens decide on their lifestyles, preferences and consumption habits. All this in a context of acceleration of social evolution and in the midst of a sustainability crisis of dimensions difficult to grasp.

In this context, the understanding of the evolution of consumption is an excellent observatory of social evolution from an economic perspective with a direct impact on the detection and evaluation of business opportunities and the creation of new values that respond to new social and economic needs. the new ways of life.

The Master in Psychology and Consumer Behavior of EAE has the objective of giving marketing professionals and entrepreneurs of new projects the right tools to understand the change in consumption, in society and in the economy from the perspective of the citizen he works and consumes, and finds in these two economic activities the centrality of his personal and social development. This understanding derives from the application in the phenomenon of consumption of various paradigms of the social sciences, from behavioral economics to psychoanalysis, through cognitive psychology and pure behavioral and situational analysis through the opportunities provided by the current availability of large masses of data about behavior.

Requirements and Admission

Double Degree

Those who successfully complete the program will obtain the Master's degree in Psychology and Consumer Behavior by EAE Business School . In addition, participants who meet the established academic requirements will obtain the master's degree from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (if the program is carried out in Barcelona) or the Rey Juan Carlos University (if the program is carried out in Madrid).

In order to obtain the qualifications granted by universities, it is necessary to comply with the requirements that both institutions request.


Admission process

The fundamental objective of our admission process is to ensure the suitability of the candidates, through their professional trajectory and academic curriculum. All participants should get the most out of this learning experience, through a context in which it is possible to develop a long-term relationship with classmates, teachers and alumni.

To start the admission process it is necessary to fill in the corresponding form, so that the profile of the candidate can be evaluated by our Academic Committee. If the resolution of the Admission issued by the Academic Committee to the Master in Psychology and Consumer Behavior is positive, the candidate may formalize their enrollment to this Master.
