More than ever, professionals need comprehensive, specialized training that requires serious preparation and deep thought, as a result of this new challenge.

The Master's Degree in Political and Corporate Communication (MCPC: Spanish acronym) taught at the University of Navarra's School of Communication offers the perfect opportunity to receive this professional training. In order to achieve this goal, the program has:

  • A team of top-level university professors and active professionals.
  • Physical facilities with considerable resources (classrooms, seminar rooms, libraries, etc.) for research and in-depth study of the topics covered by the program.
  • A work method based on interactivity and participation, the development of real communication projects in groups, and special sessions with visiting professionals in the industry.
  • The completion of part of the program at the prestigious Graduate School of Political Management (GSPM) of George Washington University in the United States.
  • An Advisory Committee made up of renowned professionals who will offer suggestions on how to adapt the program and its activities to the demands and trends of the market.

Open to a maximum of 25 students each academic year, the intensive nature of the program demands students' exclusive commitment throughout the 10 months in which it is undertaken.

Curriculum

The Master's Degree in Political and Corporate Communication includes 12 subjects divided into six modules, which make up a total of 60 credits.

The first four modules are taught in Pamplona from September to February, the next module is held in Washington D.C. during the month of March, and the module corresponding to the internships is undertaken wherever students are assigned, usually in Madrid or Barcelona.

Professional prospects

This master's program is distinctly professional in nature, but it remains firmly rooted in the University and has the advantages of an academic setting in terms of the intellectual environment and the physical facilities and infrastructure.

The master's program prepares students for the following roles:

  • Managerial responsibility in communication areas or departments in companies, organizations or institutions, or in agencies specializing in communications services for external clients.
  • Consultancy services for clients in areas such as the establishment of communication plans, including the phases of analysis, planning, implementation and evaluation, with the definition of objectives, available resources, budgetary control and control systems.
  • Management and planning of internal communications in organizations through the appropriate segmentation of the various stakeholders involved in the communicative actions required for that purpose: employees, shareholders, suppliers, consumers, voters, etc.
  • Management and planning of external communications in organizations through the appropriate segmentation of the various stakeholders involved in the communicative actions required for that purpose: media relations, community relations, institutional relations, lobbying, etc.
