goals

Tourism has an important territorial dimension. The destinations, with their resources, are the base of the system and in them the negative and positive impacts of the development of tourist activity are felt. For this reason, beyond the business activity of intermediation processes (agencies, tour operators, transport) and processes related to the provision of services at destination (accommodation, catering, inbound companies), the success of tourism depends in good measure of the correct planning and management of tourist activity on the spaces in which it takes place, tourist destinations at different scales.

This Master's Degree in Planning and Management of Tourist Destinations aims to respond to the needs of technical specialization and management in this field by training professionals who:

  • Know the basic principles and methodologies of territorial tourism planning.
  • Be able to use the management instruments to articulate a tourism action plan.
  • They know how to manage criteria of economic viability and social governance.
  • Develop managerial skills for the government of tourism development initiatives.
  • And they can manage resources and territorial capital to design and structure differentiated tourism products.
