With regard to students, an added value of the master is the training it provides in order to successfully participate in official calls for radiophysicists (RFIR), supervisor of radioactive facilities, technicians and personnel in institutes and research centers.
Although it is not a professional qualification, these studies have traditionally given access to university and non-university research and teaching. In addition, a graduate in physics has been able to access professional sectors in the world of industry and services (Scientific-Technical Instrumentation, Metrology and Calibration, Energy Production, Space and Aeronautical Technology, Atmospheric Sciences, Geodesy and Prospecting, Acoustics, Economics and Finance, etc.) and also in the field of Health Sciences (Radiophysical Protection, Instrumentation, Radiology, Magnetic Resonance and Tomography, Ionizing Radiation, Microwaves and Lasers, etc).JustificationWith regard to the socio-economic interest of the degree, sectors such as energy, automotive, materials, etc. are of paramount importance, which increasingly require highly qualified personnel (at the master's or doctoral level) in the various areas of Physics. In this regard, the ability to model and implement solutions in the most varied situations, inherent to the discipline, allows a comprehensive training of students and their subsequent professional insertion. Thus, they can perform jobs in a very wide range of activities ranging from the traditional academic sector to unconventional jobs (to date) as a quantitative financial analyst passing through almost all sectors of science and industry.
Physics occupies a central place in its own right in any science and technology system, absolutely crucial for the economic development of the country.
