Coordinating University:University of Santiago de CompostelagoalsWe intend to turn The University Master's Degree in Philosophy: Current Issues into a factor for the renewal of philosophy in Galicia. A renovation that we want to make effective through a structure and a redefinition of the subjects so that the philosophy teachers look at these new problems, while we give voice to important specialists from other areas.
Furthermore, by focusing on the problems, it aims for the student to project their gaze on the real areas in which they are configured. From there, you will be able to obtain references to guide your training by developing certain skills and abilities or by acquiring new ones that allow you to access the production system. Among the competences that the Master has to encourage are that of critical analysis and ingenuity to propose solutions to problems related to the interaction between fields of knowledge and technology, and to the new problems faced by companies and institutions in relation to an environment constantly changing.

Citizenship and globalizationThe module corresponding to itinerary 1, called Knowledge and Understanding of the World, seeks to deal with current problems related to our world, how we collect information from that environment and how we emit information that affects it, what types of knowledge we obtain from it, especially to through science and the humanities, and how and with what repercussions we modify it with technological developments.
The module corresponding to itinerary 2, with the title Citizenship and Globalization, is oriented to problems related to the role of humans in changing societies in which ethnic and cultural diversity in general must be reconciled with the new phenomenon of globalization. In this order of things, gender issues and cultural identities receive special attention.
Credit transfer and recognition:
Recognition of credits: consists of the acceptance by a university of the credits that were obtained in an official education, in the same or in another university, and that are computed in other different teachings for the purposes of obtaining an official degree.
Transfer of credits: implies that in the official academic documents accrediting the successive teachings for each student, the totality of the credits obtained in official teachings taken previously, in the same or in another university, that have not led to the obtaining of an official title.SaidasPhilosophy studies are not professional in nature; for his orientation his preferred outlet will be research. However, apart from the intrinsic and unquestioned importance of philosophy as knowledge, the philosophical training provides a solid base for, according to the interests of the person and the circumstances of the market, the graduates of the Master of Philosophy can design strategies for access to the labor market, providing unique qualities and skills, related to critical analysis of problems, the ability to reformulate them and find innovative solutions.
