Access requirementsAnyone who has an official Spanish university degree, or a degree issued by an EHEA higher education institution that empowers in the country that issued the degree to access official Master's degrees. Likewise, students with an approved foreign qualification (external to the EESS) may also take this master's degree, or without homologation provided that the level of training is equivalent to the undergraduate degrees and that it empowers in the issuing country to access official Master's degrees. The entry profile is that of a graduate in technical, scientific, social and legal education or health professionals.
Double degree: The student can obtain a double degree by studying a semester at the Polytechnic University of Silesia (Poland), there is a specific call for the Master of ERASMUS scholarships that allow financing the entire stay at said University.Professional outingsThis Master qualifies to perform higher-level functions in Occupational Risk Prevention in the specialties and preventive disciplines of Work Safety, Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics and Applied Psychosociology, in accordance with ROYAL DECREE 39/1997, of January 17 , by which the Regulation of Prevention Services is approved. The Master, adapted to the European Higher Education Area, will allow graduates to develop this profession in all sectors of activity. The functions for which it enables are the following:Promote prevention in the company and its integration into it.
Carry out risk assessments, including those whose development requires the establishment of a measurement strategy to ensure that the results obtained effectively characterize the situation being assessed, or a non-mechanical interpretation or application of the assessment criteria.
Propose measures to control and reduce risks.
Monitor compliance with the control and risk reduction program and personally carry out the activities of control of the working conditions assigned to it.
Participate in the planning of preventive activity and direct the actions to be carried out in cases of emergency and first aid.
Collaborate with prevention services, where appropriate.
Training and information of a general nature, at all levels, and in matters of Work Safety, Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics and Applied Psychosociology.
The planning of preventive action to be carried out in situations in which the control or reduction of risks involves carrying out different activities, which involve the intervention of different specialists.CurriculumThere is the possibility of obtaining a double degree with the Silesian Polytechnic University (Poland).
This Master has a duration of a year and a half divided into three modules of 30 ECTS each:The first (basic module) constitutes an overview of Occupational Risk Prevention.
The second (specialization module) delves into the three preventive disciplines in which the graduates will perform their functions: Work Safety, Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics and Applied Psychosociology.
Finally, the third (complementary module) is made up of complementary subjects and techniques, as well as the External Practices (10 ECTS) and the Master's Thesis (9 ECTS), both oriented towards a rapid integration of students in professional practice .
