About

Since the 2010-11 academic year, the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences has an official Master's program adapted to the EHEA that develops Mathematics studies aimed at professional performance in industry, companies and administration.

The profile of the Mathematical Engineer together with the obligatory external practices, makes the student required by multiple entities, with which the Master collaborates.

This University Master's Degree is a continuation of the Official Postgraduate Program and the Master's Degree, taught since 2002-03.

It is a Master's degree that takes place in one academic year, with the option of doing it part-time in two years, and which also gives access to the Doctoral programs in which the profile is accepted.

The objective of the Master's Degree in Mathematical Engineering is the training of professionals with solid scientific knowledge, with a broad command of advanced mathematical techniques and methods, capable of solving problems of a very diverse nature in engineering and industry that arise from the scientific, technological and business world, from its formulation to the implementation of computational algorithms and the analysis of results, using the language and tools provided by advanced mathematics and other related areas.

Recipients

Aimed at graduates, graduates and engineers, with a basic training in Mathematics. The student will be required to have completed a minimum of 120 credits, or its equivalent, in subjects with mathematical content. However, the Postgraduate Admission Body may exempt students from this requirement, taking into account their profile and academic history.

Admission requirements for masters

Non-enabling university masters

  • Be in possession of any of the following titles:
    • Spanish official university degree .
    • Title issued by an institution of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and empowering in the country of issue for access to Master's education.
    • Title of educational systems outside the EHEA that empowers in the country of issuance for access to Master's education, homologated or declared equivalent to the degree and academic level of Degree or Degree by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training . In case of lacking the mentioned homologation or equivalency, it will be necessary to have authorization or access permission granted by this University.
  • Or be carrying out during the course in which you pre-enroll studies leading to the obtaining of any of the previous degrees and be in a position to prove the obtaining of the same before September 30, 2020 .
  • In addition, students from foreign educational systems, whose mother tongue is different from Spanish, must prove level B2 of the Spanish language (or higher) .
