TECNUN - Higher School of Engineers of the Universidad de Navarra aims to contribute to the professional, scientific and human training of future engineers. Since its creation, in the spring of 1961, it maintains a balance between teaching, research and service to society, making these activities complement each other.

The Master in Industrial Engineering provides students with a solid, multidisciplinary and up-to-date training to practice the Industrial Engineer profession.

The master forms the people who will lead the digital transformation of the industrial combining traditional base training with the new technologies demanded by the current industry.

The master's degree is taught in two venues: Madrid and San Sebastián.

goals

The aim of the Master in Industrial Engineering is to complete the Degree in Engineering in Industrial Technologies or other degrees of the Industrial Engineering family in order to provide advanced training of a multidisciplinary nature to acquire the attributes of the Industrial Engineer profession.

Normative

  • The permanence of the students in the official master's degrees of the University is limited to a period that includes the academic year or the academic courses provided in the Report of each master's degree necessary for the realization of those studies.
  • However, once the term has expired, it may be extended in one more course for those students who have obtained the majority of the credits of the master's degree, and justify not having been able to devote the due dedication to the studies for sufficiently accredited reasons.
  • The extension must be requested, within the last course of permanence, through an instance addressed to the Rectorate of the University, which will be resolved after a report from the Center's Board of Directors.
  • When there are sufficient reasons and experience advises, the Centers may propose to the Rectorate its own specifications to these standards.
  • Students with special educational needs or who are studying part-time, who can not abide by these provisions, must present their situation each year before formalizing enrollment, in order to adapt it to their possibilities of study dedication.
  • For students enrolled in master's degrees not adapted to the European Higher Education Area or that are university-specific degrees, the permanence rules applicable to those studies will be applicable. "

Curriculum

The curriculum informs about the subjects of the degree, its character and credits that each one has. The subjects are grouped into subjects, which, in turn, are integrated into modules.

The Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering is composed of a total of 90 ECTs and is 18 months long. At the end of the academic period, the student must present a Final Master Project.

Start date: The master has two start dates, in September and in February.

The teaching period is divided into 4 modules:

  • Module 1: Installations, Plants and Industrial Constructions
  • Module 2: Industrial Management
  • Module 3: Electricity, Electronics and Processes
  • Module 4: Engines, Machines and Industrial Manufacturing

Master's thesis

The Master's Thesis of 30 ECTs consists in the development of a work, in which the knowledge, skills and competences acquired are integrated and applied to a specific case that must be resolved.

The work can be developed both in a national - international company and in a foreign university with which Tecnun has signed a collaboration agreement.

Admission

The Master is aimed at students with previous training in Industrial Technologies Degree with a high technical knowledge who want to complete their training to lead engineering projects in major national and international companies.

Some training complements have been established when access to the Master in Industrial Engineering is done from the Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Degree in Electrical Engineering or Degree in Industrial Electronics from the curricula of the School of Engineers of the Universidad de Navarra .

The master's degree can start in September or February and in the selection of candidates will take into account personal and academic characteristics.

The Master in Industrial Engineering at the Universidad de Navarra has a close relationship with companies in the sector, so it prepares students properly so they can enter the labor market with the guarantee of success. In addition, this Master is closely linked to the CEIT-IK4 Technology Center so that students are trained in emerging technologies which will make them ready for the digital transformation of the industry.
