Introduction
The official master's degree in Hotel Management is one of the longest-running programmes of its kind in Spain, with 19 editions.
It prepares you for a career in one of the most dynamic and important sectors of the world economy: tourism. The hotel sector needs versatile professionals with a knowledge of operations and advanced corporate management.
This master's degree will give you a solid grounding in business management, with a particular focus on this sector. It combines high-quality teaching from UAB lecturers with the experience of senior managers from the major international hotel chains.
It uses a "learning by doing" methodology that includes "business game" techniques, to give a comprehensive insight into the hotel business.
Great emphasis is given to the program of mandatory placements in hotel chains and consulting firms, to which students devote at least 300 hours.
Career options
Students can pursue a career in any area of hotel management, whether at individual hotel establishments or in hotel chains:
- General management, operations, quality, finance, expansion, marketing, and sales or human resources. - consultancy services, where our graduates can be involved in projects of e-commerce, revenue management, strategic planning, viability, sales, quality management, expansion, etc.

Access
Access to this master's degree is open to holders of an official bachelor's degree from a Spanish university or from another higher education institution within or outside the European Higher Education Area, provided this gives access to postgraduate studies in the country of issue.
