Its main purpose is that students obtain a greater academic specialization by expanding their knowledge in this area and, at the same time, they can start in the scientific activity of the historical discipline, offering the training and techniques necessary for work in the field of the investigation. All this can be oriented both to the realization of a future doctoral thesis and the initiation to research, as well as other related professional activities in the field of publishing, cultural management, historical heritage, analysis and description of sources, dissemination scientific or specialized teaching.
The agreements that the Master's degree has established with different archives, libraries and cultural and scientific entities for the realization of external practices by students, also gives it the social and professional projection that, at present, postgraduate studies require, linking the University with other prominent public institutions.
