Students acquire advanced training in Political Science and Administration, oriented to academic and professional specialization, promoting initiation in academic or research tasks.
The Program offers a systematic and in-depth knowledge of Political Science and Administration to graduates interested in a specialization in these subjects, either for academic or professional purposes. During this Master, the great pillars of Government and Public Administration are studied. The aspects necessary to successfully face any question with political and administrative relevance that students need to solve or deal with are presented and examined from a critical point of view. It is about offering a general vision about the decision-making process within a political system, and at the same time delving into substantive matters such as public administration or public policies, in order for students to perceive and dominate in their complexity.
At the end of the training, the students will have obtained a solid knowledge of the organization and operation of a political and administrative system; and have had the opportunity to make a serious reflection on it and its complexities. The aim is not only that students acquire knowledge and that they are capable of solving problems related to government and public administration, but also that they are capable of issuing critical judgments, drawing conclusions and advancing scientific knowledge.

Required. 2nd Semester. 15 creditsAdmission requirementsTo access the University Master's Degree in Government and Public Administration, it is necessary to be in possession of a university degree or bachelor's degree or another issued by a higher education institution belonging to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
In the case of graduates in educational systems outside the EHEA, they will be admitted without having to approve their qualifications, as long as they accredit a level of training equivalent to the respective official Spanish university degrees, and submit the title issued by their respective countries. access to postgraduate training. This way will not suppose, in no case, the homologation of the title, nor its recognition to other effects that the one of studying the teachings of Máster.
With regard to the area of ​​knowledge of candidates who aspire to pursue the Master of Government and Public Administration, there will be special preference for graduates in the various fields of knowledge related to the subject discipline of study, political science and social sciences; but students (graduates or degree holders), trained in other areas of knowledge in the field of Social and Legal Sciences, may also be admitted, who must accredit basic training in subjects related to the Program. It is important to have a good level of English as a subject is taught in this language.

Other merits. Weighting: 5%The Academic Committee of the Master is the body in charge of examining and evaluating the applications for admission submitted and approving the proposal of admitted candidates, according to the criteria indicated above.
