As a project for higher academic and research training, the master's degree must transmit to students the theoretical, methodological, heuristic and thematic pluralism of historiography, carrying out an exercise in permanent reflection on the construction of the discipline.

That students are able to communicate, orally and in writing, their scientific knowledge and arguments to specialized and non-specialized audiences in a clear and orderly manner.

Know the main fields of work of current research in the different branches of Contemporary History (economic, social, political, cultural, etc.)
Acquire the perspectives of the Social Sciences related to Contemporary History.
