University of VigogoalsThis Master has been designed to provide the student with advanced, specific and multidisciplinary training aimed at academic, research and professional training in Aquaculture. It will provide the student with the basic knowledge, skills and aptitudes that will allow them to design and carry out research in the field of aquaculture, design, manage and control continental and marine facilities, evaluate their environmental impact and respond to the needs of R & D + i the sector, implementing strategies that allow the future development of the aquaculture industry.

According to the FAO, aquaculture is the only possibility to maintain the adequate proportion of fish in the diet, since extractive fishing is reaching its level of productive capacity.
Currently, Spain has a healthy and booming aquaculture industry, which needs not only basic technicians, but also, and more urgently, highly qualified professionals. If, in addition, we consider that this boom in aquaculture extends to the entire European and global scope, it is easy to understand the need for training of personnel that is competitive at national and international level
The desire to improve the existing master's degree, to better adapt it to the training needs of companies and research in current times, have made us carry out, in recent months, an analysis process, with the companies of the Sector and the Centers participating in the Master, for their improvement in the educational field.
