goalsThe University Master's Degree in Advanced Studies in Social Education meets the following objectives:To provide a solid base of advanced knowledge in Social Pedagogy that allows students to develop the skills and abilities necessary to continue their scientific and investigative training, as well as to enhance and apply the knowledge acquired to the educational experience.
Develop their cognitive, affective and ethical capacities to apply the acquired knowledge to the resolution of problems in different sociocultural environments.
To promote in the students an adequate reflection and decision-making regarding the social challenges that are presented, starting from the understanding of the data and the available information.
Promote a framework for critical analysis and reflection that contributes to improving professional qualification in the different areas of Social Education.
Master the methods, techniques and research resources, both basic and applied research, to develop new knowledge and technologies that improve non-formal education.
Fostering interest in continuous training, an essential principle of the social educator's socio-educational action in a society in permanent change, in which new individual and collective needs continually arise throughout the life cycle. 7
Encourage the exchange of experiences and the creation of cooperation networks between researchers, professionals and institutions in the field of Social Education.RecipientsThe access requirements have been established taking into account Art. 16 of Royal Decree 1393/2007. Candidates who meet any of the conditions listed below will be able to access this University Master's Degree:Graduated in Social Education and Diploma in Social Education.
Graduated in Master in Early Childhood Education, Master in Primary Education and Pedagogy.
Graduate in Pedagogy or Psychopedagogy.
Diploma in any of the specialties of Master, EGB Teacher, etc.
University graduate who shows interest in training and research in the field of Social Education.To access this University Master's Degree in Advanced Studies in Social Education, it is not planned to carry out specific entrance tests. In the event that the demand is greater than the supply of places, the candidates will be assessed according to the previous order and also considering the academic record (70%) and professional experience (30%).Admission requirements for mastersNon-enabling university mastersBe in possession of any of the following titles:Spanish official university degree .
Title issued by an institution of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and empowering in the country of issue for access to Master's education.
Title of educational systems outside the EHEA that empowers in the country of issuance for access to Master's education, homologated or declared equivalent to the degree and academic level of Degree or Degree by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training . In case of lacking the mentioned homologation or equivalency, it will be necessary to have authorization or access permission granted by this University.
