What does it consist of?
This is a master's degree focused on improving the ability to analyze, as well as the acquisition of skills and abilities that promote development processes throughout life in diverse family and coexistence contexts, as well as the use of strategies preventive and intervention-family mediation in conventional, non-conventional, special needs and / or psychosocial risk situations.
What will you learn?
The Master of Socio-educational Intervention on Children and Families aims to provide a basic and solid formation in concepts, strategies and techniques to intervene professionally with families, through the development of the concepts of pedagogical and socio-educational intervention and the knowledge and application of the interventions and techniques of the main intervention models with families.

The student, when in possession of the official title of Master's Degree: Socio-educational Intervention with Minors and Family, has two great options:
- Apply for admission to the third cycle studies leading to the obtaining of the doctor's degree and, especially, to programs of this level by the University of the Balearic Islands, within the program of Education: early childhood, minors and family.
- The incorporation into the professional world: Basic and specialized social services, public, social initiative or private, dedicated to children, adolescents and / or family, both from preventive perspectives and socio-educational intervention. Also to educational and cultural services that develop programs for childhood, adolescence and / or family.
Structure of the studies
The teachings of the MISO Master will be taught in the modality of blended learning according to the UIB's own system, using virtual environments and other means of supporting the teaching and learning processes in person. The virtual platform of the UIB (Campus Extens, developed on Moodle), will be the usual means of communication between teachers and students. The lessons of the professionalizing itinerary are developed in person in social service and educational centers with which agreements of practices are established.

Admission profile and admission criteria
In accordance with the provisions of article 16 of Royal Decree 1393/2007:
To access the teaching of the official Master's Degree in Socio-educational Intervention with Minors and Family, it will be necessary to have an official Spanish university degree or another one issued by a higher education institution of the European Higher Education Area that they authorize in the issuing country of the degree for access to master's education.
Likewise, graduates may access according to educational systems alike to the European Higher Education Area without the need for homologation of their qualifications, after verification by the University that they accredit a level of education equivalent to the corresponding official Spanish university degrees and that they empower the issuing country the title for access to postgraduate education. The access by this way will not imply, in any case, the homologation of the previous title that is in the possession of the interested party, nor its recognition for other purposes than that of the Master's thesis courses.
Candidates must submit a pre-registration, telematic or in person, to the head of the postgraduate administrative services. If the undergraduate studies of the UIB have not taken place, they must submit a certified photocopy of the documents accrediting their degree and an academic certificate from the university issuing the aforementioned degree.
The Academic Committee of the Degree will analyze the applications submitted, including the cases of validation and recognition of revenues. The merits presented by the candidates will be valued.
