The Master in Nautical and Maritime Transport Management offers both theoretical and practical training of professionals, in order to acquire the skills, skills and abilities necessary to exercise the profession of Captain of the merchant marine without limitation, as well as to hold positions of responsibility and management in companies related to the maritime sector. It is a Master that allows the acquisition of knowledge and skills prepared by highly qualified professionals. The graduates will be professionals who have acquired applied, integrating and multidisciplinary knowledge within the nautical engineering and maritime transport with the professional competences they have to assume to join the exercise of the profession of Captain.
This Master has been organized with an extension of 60 ECTS, all mandatory, divided into two semesters of 30 ECTS each. These 60 credits are divided into 11 subjects of 3, 4.5 and 6 ECTS plus the External Practices of 6 ECTS and the Master's Thesis also of 6 ECTS, which are structured in four blocks or modules:
- Research Training: 4.5 credits
- Nautical Technological Training: 22.5 credits.
- Management Training: 21 credits.
- External Practices: 6 credits.
- Final Master's Project, 6 credits.

Final Master's Project
Any person who is in possession of an official Spanish university degree, or a degree issued by a higher education institution of the EHEA that authorizes the issuer of the degree to access official master's degrees. Also, graduates may access according to educational systems outside the European Higher Education Area without the need for homologation of their degrees, after verification by the University that they accredit a level of education equivalent to the corresponding official Spanish university degrees and that empower in the country issuing the diploma for access to postgraduate education. The access by this way will not imply, in any case, the homologation of the previous title that is in possession of the interested party, nor its recognition for other purposes than that of studying the master's degree.
The following degrees will have direct access to the Master: Graduates in Civil Navy: Nautical Section; Bachelor of Nautical and Maritime Transport; Graduated in the field of Nautical and Maritime Transport; Captain of the Merchant Navy; Pilot 1st and 2nd Merchant Marine.
