The Cox Master of Science in Management (MSM) program is designed for high-potential employees who require basic business training to achieve their professional goals but for whom the traditional MBA is not the best fit. The program would be a good fit if you are:

In the Cox MSM program, you have access to specialized training in these areas through the Business Leadership Center (BLC). Established in 1992, the BLC today offers more than 60 seminars taught by business practitioners from Fortune 500 companies, medium-sized businesses, and entrepreneurial ventures. In addition to presenting traditional seminars on topics such as project management, leading in crisis and change, and strategic communications, the BLC offers individualized training in several areas, including advanced presentation techniques and advanced business writing.

The Associate Board, Cox's executive mentoring program, is one of the most valuable resources offered to Cox graduate students. Through this program, you can capitalize on the school's close ties with many of Dallas' leading companies and influential business leaders. You work with your mentor to decide how you want to structure the relationship, how often and where you want to meet, and what you hope to gain from the relationship. A Solid Business Foundation
The MSM curriculum is designed to give you a fundamental understanding of business, along with the budgeting, management, marketing, financial, and strategic planning tools you need to distinguish yourself from your peers. The program lasts 10 months and comprises 30 credit hours of coursework. Over five modules, you will complete 15 courses. Each course earns two credit hours over eight weeks, with each class meeting one evening a week or on Saturday morning for approximately three hours. All MSM students complete the following sequence of courses together.
