game design

Video games allow us to access experiences that would otherwise exceed our grasp, providing players with the opportunity to explore other worlds and lead unfathomable lives. Teams made up of producers, designers, artists, programmers, and quality assurance experts all work together to create these compelling games for diverse audiences.

The Game Design master of science program prepares you for a specialized role in the gaming industry by teaching the skills needed to contribute to multidisciplinary development teams. The coursework focuses on user experience research, production, and design – culminating with a game capstone experience. You’ll choose a track that allows you to focus on your chosen area of expertise, whether that’s working as a user experience researcher, producer, or game designer to create and publish games, or specialize in a genre or industry niche to evaluate and enhance existing real-world products.

During the program, you will work in Full Sail’s professional-level studios and gain tangible experience that will translate into a potential career path in the gaming industry.

Full Sail's campus is a media production facility that houses recording studios, film soundstages, production rooms, video game studios, computer labs and more – using technology similar to studios found throughout the entertainment and media industry.
