The Master of Science (M.S.) in Communication Engineering is a two-year graduate course. It aims to provide a thorough grounding in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) while emphasizing a methodological approach to the analysis and design of complex systems. The first year of the course provides the prospective Communication Engineer with sound fundamental background tools, while at the same time allowing significant space to interdisciplinary learning by giving students the opportunity to attend courses from other programs such as Engineering or Economics. The second year focuses on specific advanced disciplines within Communication Engineering and a final dissertation.
The final examination consists of the public defense of a written theoretical or experimental thesis focusing on a topic consistent with the subjects of the degree course. In the contemporary world, advanced knowledge of ICT needs to be complemented by language skills in order to access many professions, and advanced knowledge of English will open up opportunities for young people in Italy and abroad.
