The rise of Big Data means that organizations of all kinds increasingly rely on data-driven decision making to grow and innovate. But, companies large and small need more than data scientists; they require entrepreneurial thinkers—translators who can connect analytics insights to real business solutions. In fact, a 2016 McKinsey Global Institute report projects that there will be a demand for between 2 million and 4 million of these business translators in the next decade.
Unlike other graduate analytics programs, Babson’s MSBA’s curriculum goes beyond IT and statistics, taking an interdisciplinary approach that ensures you’ll develop critical technical knowledge while learning how to apply your expertise to creatively solve broader business and social problems.

Our part-time Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program is designed to prepare you to be the bridge between data and action. You’ll learn the latest tools and analytic methods needed to interpret your organization’s data, but, more importantly, you’ll develop collaboration and communication skills to help you effectively convey the value of that information.

The Babson Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program takes a uniquely integrated approach to analytics that develops graduates into data translators who can be the bridge between the technical and business areas of an organization.
You’ll gain a foundation in analytics techniques alongside new marketing and economic knowledge, which will enable you to better articulate strategic insights and make critical decisions in any organization.
Designed to help you manage your work/life balance, our part-time MSBA program blends face-to-face and online sessions in a cohort-based format. You can complete the program in as little as 18 months, all while applying what you learn to make an immediate professional impact.
The MSBA consists of 18 required core credits and 12 elective credits, with semesters structured so that you typically learn two to three subjects at a time.

Consulting Field Project
The Consulting Field Project course will reinforce the learning goals of the Babson MSBA through a consulting project for a local company or organization. You’ll work in a team to execute analytical tasks and present your findings to the senior management.
