Our Master of Science in Biology is a great opportunity to gain a broad education and build a course to develop your own direction. You can freely choose courses in biology covering subjects from a cell and molecular biology to ecology and behavior. There is even the possibility to develop a multidisciplinary education by combining biology with studies in other subjects, including the humanities and social sciences.

The Master of Science in Biology gives you the possibility to choose between more than 20 different biology courses covering the entire range of biology subjects offered. For specific courses, you will need to check that you satisfy the eligibility requirements for the course. The flexible nature of the program allows up to 60 credits of optional courses, which can be courses in other subject areas such as law or economics.

To be eligible for the program we require the equivalent to Bachelor's degree with a major in biology, including molecular and cell biology, botany, zoology, physiology, and ecology. In addition, you are required to show English proficiency equivalent to the Swedish high school level.
Application and tuition fees are required unless you are EU/EEA citizen or have long-term/permanent residency status in Sweden (or temporary residency for reasons other than studies).
