The MSc in Big Data Analytics for Business is a unique program that trains business professionals in the field of (online) marketing, finance, and operations. Graduates will become decision makers with strong fundamentals in business and analytics.

·Exposure to industry-based learning through a hackathon, workshops, recruitment meetings with industry experts.

·Exposure to leading data science technologies (Python, R, SAS, GIT, GITHub, JupyterLab, Jupyter Notebooks, Hadoop, Hyve, Spark, Kaggle, IBM SPSS Statistics, Tableau, Excel, amongst others).

·Partnerships with Capgemini and SAS through coaching sessions, guest lectures, real-life case studies and company visits

Students are exposed to the leading-edge fundamentals in decision-making by extracting knowledge from Big Data. For example, these will include social media data, customer web traffic data, Bloomberg’s financial data, and inventory process logs. Students will learn to solve managerial problems by critically asking questions in the spirit of ‘What do we know?’(data-driven) rather than ‘What do we think?’ (gut feeling). Students exposure to fact-based management through the introduction of leading tools and methodologies that convert data into knowledge. Business-relevant certificates (Google Analytics and Adwords, Bloomberg) can be acquired and there is exposure to business analytics and decision-making tools (Excel, SAP Business Objects, IBM Statistics, Google Analytics). It builds on the quality of IESEG School of Management’s research teams, and participants are exposed to the impact of both academic and applied research on the industry.

Graduates will have acquired the skills to discover key information by reviewing company data, taking into consideration the relevant business context. They could work as data scientists, digital/online marketers, web analysts, consumer intelligence experts, marketing analysts, market researchers, database marketers, customer insights managers, financial analysts, credit scoring analysts, and fraud detection analysts or in other related positions.

Admission is based on each student’s online application available at http://apply.ieseg.fr and the review of the required documents, as well as the result of a mandatory interview with the recruitment staff. Rolling admission is offered to qualified students starting in October 2018.
