The Master of Science (Project Management) is a well-rounded and balanced Master’s Program providing students not only with highly specialized Project Management content but equips students with the knowledge, theory, and principles relevant to the modern project manager. This degree is for project management professionals interested in learning how efficient management can provide organizations with improved ability to plan, implement and control their business activities.
The Project Management specialization provides comprehensive project management skills and capabilities on the full project lifecycle; from project initiation, planning, execution to project closing, and teaches strategies for dealing with a broad range of issues encountered within business organizations.
If you have already completed an undergraduate in Project Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related area, you may receive credit for recognition of prior learning for this course.
Students who are interested in studying a two-year option should consider the Master of Science (Supply Chain Management/ Project Management)
If you do not meet the direct entry requirements for this course may consider the Graduate Certificate in Business as a pathway option.
Course Learning Outcomes
Students graduating from the Master of Science will be able to:
- Critically evaluate theory and practice in the field of Management Science.
- Autonomously apply innovative solutions to 'real world' problems in Management Science.
- Communicate complex disciplinary information effectively to a variety of stakeholders both written and oral formats.
- Conduct a professionally-focused research project.
- Collaboratively discuss ethical, responsibility and sustainability issues in Management Science.
- Analyse complex systems to enable performance enhancement.
Recognised Bachelor degree, in a specialization related to Business, Engineering, Maths or IT with an equivalent average mark of 50% or a Graduate Certificate in Business. Other tertiary qualifications combined with extensive professional work experience will be considered.
Candidates are required to complete a total of eight (8) core subjects (48 credit points) along with the subjects listed for their selected major.
