The MSc Engineering Management programme as offered the same at the home campus of Northumbria University is specifically designed to allow students to update, extend and deepen their knowledge, to enhance their career opportunities in industry, or as a preparation for further academic research. The programme aims to:

  • Produce graduates who can apply fundamental principles and techniques to produce creative solutions

The modules will be assessed either by coursework, examinations, and projects or a combination deemed appropriate to the module objectives

Graduation

Students will be awarded the Master of Science Engineering Management by Northumbria University, UK. In addition, graduates from the programme are entitled to use the designatory title, MSc, after their names.

  • EN0767 - Engineering Research and Project Management (CORE, 20 Credits)
  • EN0771 - Product Design and Development (CORE, 20 Credits)
  • EN0772 - Engineering Management Data Analysis (CORE, 20 Credits)
  • IS0738 - Technology Entrepreneurship (CORE, 20 Credits)

Entry Requirement

All applicants must be 21 years old and above, and possess one of the following:

  • Minimum of a lower second class honours degree in an engineering discipline from a recognised university or its equivalent.
  • Professional qualifications that are equivalent to an honours degree may also be acceptable

English Language Requirements

All applicants must demonstrate proficiency in the English language and obtain at least one of the following:

  • Minimum C6 pass in English Language (EL1) at GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent
  • A British Council International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.5 (or above)
  • Pearson Academic score of 62 (or above)
  • A British Council International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.5 (or above) with a minimum score in each component of Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking of 5.5
  • Pearson Academic score of 62 (or above) with a minimum score in each component of Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking of 51
  • Score above 65% at MDIS Professional Certificate in English (PCIE) at Advanced Level
  • Recognised Equivalent
