Internship

This internship is an elective and not compulsory in the Master of International Tourism and Hotel Management. Undertaking an internship will assist students to critically reflect on the relationship between their academic studies and the workplace environment through a minimum 300 hours of practical workplace experience over 10 weeks within the tourism and hospitality sectors. This double-weighted unit also enables students to gain an understanding of the nature and requirements of the business environment.

Internships are a valuable opportunity to develop your skills in the field to an international level. Building on what you have learnt in the Master of International Tourism and Hotel Management, you will have the opportunity to work a professional work environment with one of our prestigious industry partners in Australia or overseas and see how things really happen to ensure a great stay for hotel guests and visitors.

Postgraduate students may undertake 10 weeks of internship placement in Australia or internationally.
