Program Description

The Master of Innovation & Entrepreneurship will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop ideas into sustainable business opportunities and to foster innovation in your workplace. You will learn how to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset, experiment with design thinking, and learn to use tools and techniques to convert your ideas into reality.


Throughout your degree, our academics will equip you with knowledge in innovative leadership, financial skills for entrepreneurs, how to navigate the complexities of innovation and entrepreneurship, business innovation planning, and creating and marketing new products. You will understand how to raise capital and gain detailed knowledge of the complexities of initiating, developing, managing and exploiting innovation.

The Master of Innovation & Entrepreneurship will allow you to explore the potential exploitation of your own business idea. You will learn to evaluate opportunities from a range of perspectives, including financial, technical and legal, as well as gain a thorough understanding of the processes associated with the development and marketing of a new product in today’s complex environment.

You will then complete your degree with an industry-based research project that will enable you to apply the skills developed into a practical project.

Course Learning Structure

Course Learning Outcomes are statements of learning achievement that are expressed in terms of what the learner is expected to know, understand and be able to do upon completion of a course. Students graduating from this course will be able to demonstrate:

1 Demonstrate specialised knowledge of advanced concepts and frameworks relating to innovation and entrepreneurship.
2 Synthesise relevant principles and concepts in a business context
3 Propose integrated solutions to a range of problems using theoretical knowledge, technical skills, critical and/ or creative thinking.
4 Plan and execute a substantial business research project.
5 Apply the principles of social responsibility when critically evaluating situations and making business decisions.
6 Communicate complex disciplinary information for the intended audience and purpose; (a) orally and, (b) in writing.
7 Reflect on professional interpersonal skills whilst working with others to produce agreed outputs.

Accreditation and Professional Recognition

Graduates of the Master of Business Analytics will be awarded the Statistical Analysis System (SAS) Joint Certificate and the Advanced SAS Joint Certificate.

Entry Requirements

To gain entry into the Master of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, we require you to have a recognised bachelor’s degree with an equivalent average mark of 50% or a Graduate Certificate in Innovation & Entrepreneurship or a Graduate Certificate in Business. IELTS score of Overall 6.5 (R:6, W:6, L:6, S:6).
